Accenture, whose Newcastle Delivery Centre relocated to the business park in 2013, supplied a team of apprentices who worked tirelessly on the app as part of an initiative to provide them with commercial experience in software development. The project gave them an opportunity to monitor and examine download and usage numbers, and to improve the services within the park where their office is based.
The More Card app is designed to provide access to the hundreds of leisure deals on the Cobalt More Card, which are available exclusively to Cobalt’s 12,000+ staff. The More Card’s 8,000+ members can use the new app to search for participating venues by location and type of offer, and to find out what’s on at Cobalt. Available initially for Apple iPad and iPhone, the app has already been downloaded by more than 1,000 members. The Cobalt More team can also use the technology to communicate new offers and promotions to users through push notifications.
