Cobalt Park has been designed to integrate with the wider bus network attracting commercial operations from Go North East, Stagecoach and Arriva with express services to the centre of Newcastle. Our bus service 19 connects both legs of the Metro at Percy Main Station and Northumberland Park Metro Interchange, the service also meets the North Shields Ferry providing connection South of the River Tyne.
The Northumberland Line is now fully open with the new station at Northumberland Park connecting with new rail staions providing direct rail connections to North East Northumberland and from Northumberland Park direct connection to Central Station Newcastle in only 12 mins providing onward connections to the national rail network.

Cobalt Directions
Car
From the North: Travel south on the A1, take the exit signposted Tyne Tunnel. Continue south towards the Tyne Tunnel along the A19, then exit the A19 at the Holystone Roundabout. Take the 2nd exit signposted Cobalt Park and Whitley Bay Centre. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit straight ahead, and at the following roundabout, take the 2nd exit into Cobalt Park. From the South: Travel north on the A1(M) or A19 towards the Tyne Tunnel. Go through the Tyne Tunnel and on exit, head north on the A19. Take the 3rd exit north signposted to Silverlink. Continue straight ahead over 2 mini-roundabouts, and at the 3rd roundabout on Middle Engine Lane, take the 2nd exit onto Cobalt Park Way, then take the 3rd exit north on Cobalt Park Way. Rail & Northumberland Line
Newcastle Central Station: With direct links to major UK cities along the East Coast mainline, Newcastle Central Station offers excellent rail connectivity.
Northumberland Line: You can travel from Newcastle Central Station to Northumberland Park Station via the Northumberland Line. From there, you can easily connect to the 19 bus service for a direct journey to Cobalt Park.
Metro
The Metro network consists of 59 stations providing transport links across Tyne and Wear. The transport interchange at Northumberland Park and Percy Main provides connections to the 19 bus service, facilitating direct links to Cobalt Park. Metros typically run every 10 minutes throughout the day.
Buses
More than 300 bus journeys connect the park on a daily basis, linking to over 40 key destinations throughout the region. The Cobalt Clipper 309 provides frequent, direct services from Newcastle to Cobalt. Service 19 also connects both legs of the Metro at Northumberland Park Interchange and Percy Main, and meets every North Shields Ferry. Other services run directly through the park from various locations including Gateshead, Ashington, Gosforth, Wallsend, Whitley Bay, North Shields, Cramlington, and Killingworth.
Cycling and Walking Routes
Well-maintained walking routes and off-road cycle ways, which connect to the Waggonways Cycle Route, allow for safe access to the business park. Cycle parking is available at all buildings across the park.
Airport
Newcastle International Airport offers flights to over 18 domestic airports. The Metro station located within the airport runs services to South Gosforth Metro station, where you can transfer from Platform 2 to trains towards the coast to Northumberland Park Interchange to connect to the 19 bus service.
